Another festival invitation – and this one makes us especially happy:
Our film Cleaning & Cleansing will celebrate its African premiere at the Eko Film Festival in Lagos, Nigeria!

Since we distribute our film independently, we have the unique opportunity to bring it to festivals beyond the mainstream Euro-American film circuit. We’re thrilled to connect with new audiences and celebrate diverse perspectives in cinema.

Another wonderful festival invitation for Cleaning & Cleansing: BAFICI Buenos Aires – one of the most important and unique film festivals in Latin America. A festival that truly celebrates bold and diverse cinema. We’re thrilled that our low-budget film is playing on the international stage alongside the big ones. We deeply appreciate every platform that dares to showcase challenging and aesthetically radical work. 

Cleaning & Cleansing is one of twelve films selected for the international competition of the documentary film festival FIPADOC, which takes place from 24 January to 1 February in Biarritz, France.


We are beyond thrilled that Cleaning & Cleansing has won the
Award for Original Approach at Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival.

The jury’s statement:
“An absorbing and arresting cinematic study of everyday cleaning and cleansing practices in a diverse range of work, institutional and social settings, from slaughterhouse to space station. Cleaning & Cleansing is rigorously formal and precise, with strikingly ‚clean‘ editing and sound design complementing the images perfectly. Our modern Western obsession with cleanliness and hygiene are put under the microscope here in a surprisingly engaging way.“
